Our Services

Soma Yoga and Pilates’ philosophy is based on inclusivity. It is my intention to share yoga and Pilates with as many people as possible. Therefore, classes and events are carefully planned to offer something for everyone regardless of age or experience. Pricing plans are also designed to be affordable and flexible.

Weekly Pilates Classes

Classes are held at Elizabeth Hall in Hook every Monday and Friday from 9:30am to 10:30am. Classes usually consist of a short warm to mobilise joints and stretch muscles, a range of mat-based exercises inspired by Pilates’ original 34 exercises, and relaxing stretch to finish. All equipment is provided.

Yoga and Ayurveda day Retreat

Ayurveda is a Sanskrit term meaning ‘the science of life’. It originated in India over 5,000 years ago and is one of the world's oldest holistic healing systems. It remains a significant part of traditional Indian medicine today. Ayurveda aims to heal or maintain health naturally by applying yoga and meditation practices, herbal remedies, cleansing detoxification practices and diet and nutrition to a person’s individual constitution (dosha). During this day retreat, you will learn how to eat and practise yoga in tune with your dosha and the changing seasons. 

Weekly Yoga Class

Classes are held in the Holt Room (upstairs) at Hook Village Hall every Monday from 7:00pm to 8:00pm. Classes usually begin with a relaxing breathing practice, warm up to mobilise joints and stretch muscles, a flow phase moving the body with each breath, balance, flexibility and relaxation. 

Online Restore and Relax

Sessions are held online on the first Sunday of each month from 8:00pm to 8:30pm. The session will consist of a few restorative poses and then a guided relaxation, known as Yoga Nidra. Yoga Nidra has many benefits, including improved physical and mental health, improved sleep quality and enhanced creativity.
